This two bedroom bungalow was transformed into a beautiful three bedroom family home.

The project involved three extensions, one either side and one to the rear of the property, removal of outbuildings and internal walls, the installation of a new kitchen/utility room/bathroom/walk in wardrobe and en-suit shower room, the roof was extended and matched existing using reclaimed tiles.

Great things are done by a series of small things brought together

This beautiful one bed annex was once an unused stable block.

To create an open design the internal roof was structurally altered to accommodate the gambrel roof complete with Velux windows.

The high gloss white kitchen created the impression of clean, unbroken lines and the reflective surfaces returned plenty of light into the lounge area. With limited space a practical shower room with toilet, towel rail and sink unit was installed.

A new lease of life on a budget

This weathered decking was transformed into a beautiful and inviting outdoor living space. Damaged old boards were repaired or replaced before sanding and jet washing. The boards were coated using a quality stain which will help block the sun’s harmful rays and protect the wood from future damage.

Stepping back in time

The Thomas Crapper is back.... Working on these projects with Karen was a true delight.

The family room, utility room and toilet .

The family room - to enhance the beautiful chandelier the wooden ceiling was removed and replaced with a plastered ceiling and painted to a pure white finish. The bar area was altered so it was accessible from both sides.

Utility room - New bespoke doors, solid walnut worktop, butler sink and brick tiles created the retro style within this room.

Toilet - Tongue and groove paneling was applied to the walls which complimented the Crapper toilet and Victorian sink.

To achieve the unique stepping back in time look Female Touch Decorating used chalk paints with a shabby chic finish, bringing out the character and adding warmth and personality to each room.

Hub of the modern family home

Formal separate cooking and dining areas are becoming a thing of the past, removing the wall created the ideal open-plan kitchen-diner and now it is a great space where cooking, family time and socializing combine.

Running the wooden flooring from kitchen into the hallway, made the home seem larger and brighter.
